Can't Upgrade - Forums - World of Warcraft
I've tried repeatedly to upgrade my WoW for BC, WotLK, and Cataclysm, by using the Classic to Cataclysm purchase at https://us.battle.net/account/management/upgrade-wow.html?accountName=WoW1®ion=US. But I always get the same message,
"An error has occurred.
To complete this transaction, please contact Blizzard Customer Support. Alternatively, you may select another form of payment."
I made sure I had the money, checked that the card was active, called wellsfargo support, and I called Blizzard support but got the "full phone queue" message", and now I'm here. Can I get some help?

Once you get this error, I suggest you call.
Do NOT continue to purchase it since that can cause multiple charges to appear - they dont take the money, they are just holding charges which will clear out.
When you call billing, I suggest you spam the line.
They are very busy and considering the Cata came out and it is christmas and news years... they are very very busy.
You will want to get into the queue as soon as someone hangs up.
So spam that line :).

What you need to do, is call Billing, as previously advised by the message and Rorik.
Many things can cause transaction errors.
Is the card you are trying to use prepaid?
Has it been registered?
Is the postcode attached to the card the same as what is being inputted into the payment page?
You really need to call Billing, they are honestly the only team that can assist.
